Dr. Patrick Asiedu is a highly experienced Internist and Primary Care Physician with nearly three decades of clinical practice which he brings to Westlands Clinic! He divides his time between Westlands Clinic and Chapel Medical Group in New Haven, Connecticut, USA where he has practiced since 1996. He also serves as an Attending Physician at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine since 2005, contributing to medical education alongside his clinical work.

Dr. Asiedu holds an MB, ChB from Ghana Medical School and a PhD in Pharmacology from Columbia University in New York, USA. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA and received earlier postgraduate training at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana.

Dr. Asiedu has extensively contributed to academic research, with peer-reviewed publications and abstracts focusing on pharmacology and toxicology, particularly the metabolism of the oral chelating agent DMSA which is used for the treatment of lead poisoning in children.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, licensed to practice in both the USA and Ghana, and is a member of several professional bodies, including the American College of Physicians. His career has been recognized with multiple awards and features, notably receiving a Graduate Student Award for Research Excellence from the Society of Toxicology, being named an honoree of the Connecticut Immigrant and Refugee Coalition, and making Connecticut Magazine's Top Doctors List for 5 consecutive years.
